As we mark our centenary year, we reflect on a century of protecting the countryside that makes our region so special. From the rolling hills of the Lincolnshire Wolds to the tranquil waters of Rutland Water, CPRE has been at the forefront of conservation efforts.

Over the past 100 years, we have successfully campaigned against inappropriate development, protected green spaces, and helped maintain the character of our rural communities. Our volunteers and supporters have been instrumental in every success.

The centenary year is not just about looking back – it’s about looking forward. We face new challenges in the form of climate change, biodiversity loss, and increasing development pressure. But with the support of our members and the wider community, we are confident we can meet these challenges.

We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone and to continue supporting our work. Whether through volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word about the importance of countryside protection, every contribution makes a difference.

As we look to the next century, we remain committed to our founding principles while adapting to new challenges. Together with our community, we will continue to protect the countryside we love.
